Canon EOS Rebel XS Rebate

Hey friends and fellow photogs! Canon has a $100 instant rebate for the Canon EOS Rebel XS. To cash in on the rebate you have to purchase both the Canon Rebel XS kit, which includes the EF-S 18-55mm IS lens, and the Canon EF 75-300mm f4-5.6 III lens or the EF-S 55-250mm f/4.0-5.6 IS lens between February 14 and March 13, 2010.

When ordering through Amazon make sure you add both the Rebel XS camera kit and the 75-300mm f/4-5.6 Lens or the EF-S 55-250mm f/4.0-5.6 IS lens to your cart in order to receive the discount.

My Canon XS Recommendations

The Rebel XS is a wonderful entry level digital SLR that received a "Highly Recommended" from dpreview.com. It has many of the manual controls that intermediate photographers crave, while still catering to the beginner photographer. The XS is equipped with 'Live View' which allows you to see the image on the LCD before taking the shot. I use this feature primarily when shooting landscapes where I'm looking to make lots of in-camera adjustments very quickly.

Image quality is excellent across the board with great color and images free from noise. Those of you who are looking to make the jump into the world of digital SLR's should consider the Canon XS.
